flood and drain media, I learned of Auqaponics in early 2010, I have watched hours of youtube videos on hydroponic/ aquaponics/ aeroponics/ even fogponics. In early march, I setup my first aquaponics experiment. I used a 35g aquarium, with two grow beds (maybe 3g each) made from small sterilite boxes. Without supplimental light, I have had limited luck growing plants in them. Only some onions have managed to hang on through to summer.

For years I have been trying to grow coral in a saltwater aquarium. I have learned a lot about the nitrogen cycle and understand how the very process that fills a saltwater tank with unwanted algea, is the process you need to grow great vegetables.

I think I have Blues. Got the first batch of fry Christmas day. The second one came in Jan. 13. Not sure how long they need to grow to be considered fingerlings. Just noticed another female expecting today.
