If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply): flood and drain media, I learned of Auqaponics in early 2010, I have watched hours of youtube videos on hydroponic/ aquaponics/ aeroponics/ even fogponics. In early march, I setup my first aquaponics experiment. I used a 35g aquarium, with two grow beds (maybe 3g each) made from small sterilite boxes. Without supplimental light, I have had limited luck growing plants in them. Only some onions have managed to hang on through to summer.

Please tell us something else about yourself.: For years I have been trying to grow coral in a saltwater aquarium. I have learned a lot about the nitrogen cycle and understand how the very process that fills a saltwater tank with unwanted algea, is the process you need to grow great vegetables.
