I've been experimenting with the bell syphon recently and came across the following situation. The syphon worked great during my experiments when test filling the bed with the garden hose, but when I switched over to my pump the syphon did not engage. I went back and used the hose method again and it worked. The hose brought water in to the grow bed at a higher rate which led me to the conclusion that the flow rate of the incoming water has to be significant enough to force the water high…

So here's one for the group... The owner of this property would like to convert these three pools into aquaponics systems. For some perspective, the largest pool is 72' long, 47' wide at the shallow end and 22' wide at the deep end. The deep end is 9.5' deep and the shallow end is 3.5 feet. What would you do?…

Bought me a 1 horse power pump to run the 5 systems I am going to have on my one tank. Got my up side down pots rack up and have 2 Koi I got from Wil on Frfi just to see how they are doing before I get the other 6 to get the system right before a
