Salt for fish health

Hope the above link helps.

The colloidal silver Is probably not the magic bullet you are looking for, test your water, make sure you haven't killed your bio-filter.  If colloidal silver kills all bacteria, fungi and viruses just by being there, then it will kill the good stuff just as well as the bad stuff and you wind up with a system that can't function.

make sure your water quality is good, make sure you are not over feeding the fish, And then for my fish I will usually salt up to about 3 ppt (though this might be too salty for stuff like strawberries.)  Salt is about the only medication you get to use in an aquaponics system.

I see no reason why that wouldn't work. What I have discovered from my research is the bed to be at least 12" in depth. So it sounds like you on the right path.

No, that tomato did not come from my garden. I'm a very new aquapon. However, I hope to grow some that are half a good as the photo. Thanks for your inquiry.
