Yes, I have some common carp. I'm groing mostly tilapia. I would never recommend anyone run more than 0.25 lbs per gallon in an aquaponic system. I don't have gill parasites that I've noticed.
the towers I use are my design (zipgrow.com). they work really well for what I do.
Thanks Ernest, my BSA is extremely high and my ammonia conversion rates are 100%. It's mostly just stress right now, and the fact that most of my fish are in the 3-5 lb range.

Yeah, I've been having some deaths the last few months- I have around 200 lbs in each of my 485 gal. tanks which is WAY overstocked, but I'm waiting to move to my new system and I don't want to cull to many! I'll just let the weak ones die off until I can move them into a larger, more spacious system where they'll be happier.
