I'm a long time permaculturist;having established Gaia permaculture on my rural 14 acre homestead in the west central part of Georgia. As well developing an "Integral Urban Sustainable House" on 1/2 acre, and in historic block cottage in the Columbus/fort Benning area.I will be teaching urban farming and permaculture from this dwelling.
On the rural homestead I grow various plant systems,IE,Kaki persimmons,Indian peach,Mulberry,Eleagnus,Satsuma oranges, fig,Natural colored cotton, and various nitrogen fixing trees, etc. I have a few down slope fish pools;with one finished that has mosquito fish, bull frogs, and many many bullhead cat fish fingerlings! When I set up my aquaponic system within the urban house, I will be growing the bullheads,as they are more hardy, and I started them free from catches that was made in the local area, and that had babies!
Glad to be a part of the group....Peace."Dee"
