3/5hp from Harbor Freight (reg. $99, bought for $40).  On my last system I had several H.F. Clearwater 1/2 Hp motors on a manifold to handle the flow from 2 10' x 30" tanks and I found I like that size. The reviews on the sump pump said that the float switch was faulty, I found the short cord length relative to its thickness was a problem so I ran down to Lowes' and got another float switch ($19) with a more flexible cord.  The sump pump plugs into it at the recept. so I tied the original float in the on position and allowed the new switch to take control. Works like a champ!  And it gives me a lot more flex to make changes to my system while still maintaining the one pump concept.

And tomorrow sees another system change - cheers, David

That's a lot of pressure -  from sump pump or gravity flow?  I'm thinking it must be from a pump.  Very interesting.
