4 growbeds, 2 fishtanks, unknown number of guppies, 20 tilapia = 1 happy system.
The downspouts are my way of adapting the original barrelponics schematics to use the bung holes (yes, that's what they're called). It allows me to be flexible on how I drain my beds. Also, all the L-shapes for my water going into the beds at the top allows me to adjust flow instantly and cheaply. When I want to cut the water to a growbed, I simply rotate the PVC. I have chosen to leave everything connected without any glue whatsoever. It just requires checking the system a little when I've been playing with it. The bell siphons were recent additions and the plants love them. The two fish tanks are connected by a 2" pipe at the bottom and the fish are small enough right now that they transverse at will. I added a T-junction so that I can separate them when necessary.

Hi Philip, I've moved it now and I'm getting ready to expand. How's your system? If you're interested, we could exchange visits?
Hail is good for the system. It teaches the plants respect.
Cool System. Have you moved it to Kailua?
