Bob, we will have a decent amount of grow space to handle the lower density fish quantities.  

We will end up with a 3' +/- deep water level, the bottom of the tanks will have a 6" insulation base.  This is one of 2 tanks, the plans are to section them off with some sort of netting.

You must be planning to build a really large amount of grow bed space for a fish tank that large.

I found 4' to be too deep and ended up filling in the bottom to make mine 36" deep.   I have also come to realize that I would prefer several tanks rather than one.  This way each generation can occupy it's own tank.  This allows you to cull the runts.  If they are all in one tank it becomes difficult to know if it's a young fish or a runt.
