this little guy would run at around 60 degrees with just the 1000 watt light... while it was 30 outside.

Awesome Rob. You have convinced me to plant some Basil.

Can you post a pic of your bender? I see lots of them for sale commercially and have been thinking of making one myself. Been thinking of doing this same thing inside our GH. Can't beat a GH in a GH

Bob, I built this one using 1" top rail, and a home made pipe bender... i did use PVC 45s on the arches but the rest is one inch pipe. I attached it to the raft which is solid as a rock... pipes are 1 foot in the ground. you could do this by pounding the side wall pipes in the ground at least 1 ft deep, then add the arches. greenhouses, no mater their size, have to have purlins and side support..ie. the 1x4 across the top of the sides. and then when the wind blows over 40 mph, you just have to pray.    keep an eye out for the latest Association news letter, we did an article on how to build one of these little quonsets. ...cheers.

Rob I've had trouble with my PVC hoop house shifting sideways due to wind.  It appears that you too are using PVC but your green house looks very straight.  Can you give me some advice?  I'd like to rebuild but I don't want to run into the same problems.
