Gina take one small section of your table and cover with 1/2  inch of barley or wheat. Watch what happens. It will grow into a seed mat that you can roll up and feed to livestock. Chickens included. One pound of seed makes 7 pounds of fodder. You can harvest in 8 days give or take a few. a 100 sq foot area will grow about 100 1bs of feed a day. This is a high quality forage that will make your livestock thrive. It is new but catching on using hydroponics soulution. I want to use aquaponcis. Soak your seed for 4 hours first then trowel into your seed tray and irrigate like you do your seedlings. keep a sock with sand or rock at bottom to hold the bottom edge of the seed. Damn I just gave up my secret for nothing. OH Well.

Oh no worries at all David! I didn't take it that's way and I appreciate the tip! Wow, we have fans?! ;) would love to hear more about your fodder feed system. We are very interested in developing something for livestock as well!

Thanks David.  We are careful to monitor for any rust or blisters.  This table has been in use for over 6 months, we just finally moved it to the sunnier side of the greenhouse as it was too shaded on the North side.  So far so good!

Great concept. Roofing metal has been galvanized with zinc for corrosion. Becareful of rust or blisters which will leach zinc into your system. First sign of that should stop and dry then repaint.
