Basil leaf disease?
I am looking for some advice on growing plants in my NFT system. I am continuing to see what I think is a problem with the roots of the plants and a reddish 'disease' on the the leaves of plants including strawberries and now on these basil.

I removed them all and put them in the outdoor garden to see what happens. Seem to be surviving so far this week.

Possibly root rot from suffocation.To little water flow over the roots or to much water not circulating enough.Get the roots looking White and healthy them see if the problem still is there.

Mixture of vermiculite and coconut core.

What is the media on the roots besides the clay balls?
