You may want to consider running some pipe in the clay as a way to heat water in winter .... just one of those after sights .... think you could probably run a 4 to 6 inch pipe ... fed by a one inch pipe from the pump..

Just be warned its labor intensive .. next time think I will do a workshop and let the people who want to learn to the tedious stuff  :)    just let me know what you need to know as the book has some short comings on some of the diagrams ... but if i can be of assistants just ask ....

Jon really like the rocket stove concept heating up soil for thermal mass. I am planning on the same thing in m greenhouse. Take lots of pics of the stove end and keep us posted. Thanks for the pics really cool.
