LOL, they are really a pain are they not?
Bird netting might deter the squirrels but it can be a pain for you too. I struggle with squirrels.
I would put some sort of cover over the fish tank just to keep fish from jumping out though even if it is just netting or shade cloth that will also help keep leaves and debris out of the tank.
So far, no issues with raccoons and I know there are some in the neighborhood. The top of the table is about 8" above the top of the tank so that kind of helps. I was going to put a cast net or something over it, but haven't as of yet and don't think I'll have to after all. I've seen a few black racers in the area, but I don't know if they're fishers or not...
My biggest nemesis, is the squirrel. I lost cabbage heads, watermelons and a few other things in the seedling phase earlier this season. Little jerks. I have an owl hanging next to the garden, but it didn't work in the spring, although it was stationary at the time.
The nice thing about this angle is it is really lightweight. I can carry the whole table over my head if I have to. It's kinda expensive if you buy it retail (like from Ace). We bought ours through a Canvas and Awning maker directly. Might be worth a call. These two tables cost about $75 each to make. I sprayed with Rustoleum afterwards. One can will cover a whole table.
