It was originally clad in greenhouse plastic but then it boils in summer even if the gables are replaced with netting.  I want a solid roof for rain collection, thus my ideal is to have a polycarb roof, netting sides and a solar water heater for winter.  Budget does not allow that right now though.  At present it is partially covered in netting and plastic and part left open.  We have very frustrating temperature variables here in Uitenhage.  Down to 0 in winter and over 40 in summer.  Cannot really find a "one covering for all seasons" solution without cooling or heating in such a small unit.

What are you covering the outside with? Greenhouse plastic?

Francois - I was about to start populating the SA page with products I want to recommend and this is one of them.  It is a local (PE) company called EZI Systems (www.ezisystems.co.za).  It is galvanized steel pipes with their custom connectors finished in powder-coat (all steel). It is very versatile, strong and durable.  That frame has been outside since September 2008 and is still going strong.

Kobus, what kind of frame is this? It looks like a very versatile "mechano-set"
