it's flood and drain at least those barrels are, if the roots haven't totally blocked the drain holes, it's hard to get close enough to really tell. They get intermittent flow from the indexing valve and I would guess each group of three barrels gets watered about once every six hours in the current set up.
I've found that most plants that they say don't like wet feet still do fine in aquaponics, some of them even in constant flood. I've been rooting bamboo in aquaponics really well and some of it is in constant flood.
Hi TC, A couple of years ago when I planted my Golden Goddess (in soil) I was told they do not like having wet roots, but your bamboo seems to be growing well in the AP. Are they in a constant flow or flood/drain setup?
