The system has about 40% of the media as shells so the system is well buffered. Natural pH tending to be at 7.6.
Yes, I have to add chelated Iron regularly since the high pH does tend to lock it up.

I didn't know if it would be fine. Just tried it to see.

I had wondered how you can set that up and knew that flooded would be fine for the banana tree. What is the ph level in this? Do you have to add anything ie. iron, lime, etc?
