Actually that's a 2" shower drain from home depot.  I removed the metal grid and stuck 2" PVC through it.  There's a rubber seal that goes around the 2" pipe that has a compression fitting that screws it tight.  I added a bead of silicone around the fitting top and bottom.  I think they cost around $6 or $7 dollars.  Much cheaper that a commercial bulkhead.
