Steve good luck on the separator. So many choices. Friendlys has it down to an art so you will have no problem if you are using their set up. Keep us posted hehe. Your work is very clean great job.

I am still setting up, but according to Friendly Aquaponic, this should not be to much of a problem on this system (their design) if it is an issue there are some critters I will add to break down the solids, they are very small and kind of look like shrimp.  If solids accumulate more than I anticipate I will put a 50 gallon tank at the outlet of the tank with dump valve to bleed off the heavy solids at the bottom.  Im just getting started and wish I had a sure answer, but time will tell.

Steve would really like to see how you are separating fish poo solids from the water for the rafts. Do you have any pics.
