We all do :) The opportunity for learning is what makes this all so enjoyable...plus you get food out of it hehe...

@Jon... Wow! 5 bucks for a cucumber...sheesh. Ours go for 250 RSD a kilogram (about $2.35 US). "Regular" cukes sell for slightly under a buck a kilogram (2.2lbs) here...

Great, many thanks for sharing that info, your cucumbers are really doing well! I've some learning to do ;-)

Right-O Jon. KCl is how I do it without affecting pH.

There 2 plants in each of these 4 grow beds. Each pair gets a slightly different treatment in the top layer of the 'dual root zone' set up, so there is a little bit more going on here than meets the eye...I've got sort of a running grow log in on this method http://community.theaquaponicsource.com/group/fish-less-systems/for...

if anyone is interested...

Beautiful, Vlad. Those fetch $5 each here at farmer's markets.

Shaun, I'll let Vlad answer your question, but I do it with potassium choride, KCl, water softener salt.

Vlad, would you mind sharing how are you managing to keep potassium levels up without adding nitrates (potassium nitrate) or  pushing the pH (potassium bicarb)...?

Many thanks,

Shaun.
