No, no soil. Hydroton, cocco coir, perlite, vermiculite, worm castings and a bit of zeolite, in the top half and just hydroton in the bottom half...No soil.

if you are bored or interested enough to read it...it was an (successful) experiment (because I am impatient by nature and AP apparently takes quite a bit of patience for certain things to be able to happen) on catering to the specific nutrient demands of certain plants without affecting the system water as a whole.

Do you use hydroton with some soil in pots?
