Oh I'm already growing outdoors under oak trees in my current location.

Netting over the troughs under the towers will be important but I'll also be putting up bird netting over the systems to keep the darn squirrels out as well as my ducks and chickens so that will help with some leaves.  Luckily the oak leaves are very stiff and leathery which seems to keep them from clogging the pumps the way one might expect.  (Maple leaves would be more of a problem In my experience.)

 lots of room to grow!...those leaves look like pump stoppers to me....haha
