This an update from Model number 2 which was made out of scrap as a proof-of-concept if you like.  This one has the potential to be used in school classrooms.  We have, as before, aimed to use materials that are very readily available and therefore cheap and easy to replace if necessary.

 

I will add more photos at some point, but we made this system with a miniature bell syphon.  We used half inch pipe work with a small reducer on top.  For the bell part of the siphon we use..... the small cylindrical container that the fish food came in... worked perfectly!!!  W are very happy with that as again, it means it is extremely simple and and easy to replace if necessary.
