Most solar greenhouses I've seen go with windows along the bottom and top. When they're open the hot air vents from the top pulling cool air in from the bottom.

I have seen pictures. I researched solar greenhouses for several months and ended up going with this design. It takes advantage of the winter sun. This is mostly an experiment right now since there is nothing out there on how hot it will get in there. For the winter months I wanted it completely enclosed. So that I could see temperature differences (outside/inside). Then I could decide on insulation, radiant barrier and so on. Now I'm headed for summer wich now I know will be my challenge. Texas is very hot. The plan right now is to add windows all across the front, side and some in the back. Then add a shade cloth to lower the sun rays that it recieves. If that is not enough then start looking at other solutions.

Maybe of topic, but I have a weim also, couldn"t imaging the gardening without her. Great friend and companion.  Nice will follow your progress, and hopefully learn from you.

I'm in North Texas. I have a few more beds in it now. It's 20 by 40, since then I have also added ventilation. Yes that's my Weim.

Enjoy the picture nic structure. How big is it, looks like you"ve just begun. Do you have any more pictures? Where are you located, I'm in Kansas, looking o begin asystem, will start small and learn, then on to something similar to your structure.
