The sand filter + 3 Bio-filter tanks [not shown] yet, are to maintain the turbidity of the water + maintain the ammonia in the water, The design is non typical for a normal Aquaponics system.  Due to the large quantity of fish raised the aquaponics trays probably wont filter all that the fish need.

That's a big-ol sand filter...what will you use it for? I know pictures are worth a thousand words but again, descriptions would help a poor soul like me understand better...otherwise everything look very professional. Very nice.
