The tank is rounded on the bottom, like most feed bunks so it is about 200 gallons ... What I like about it though is the shape. Kinda wish the price was smaller however, and that it wasn't rounded on the bottom. (better picture of rounded bottom here http://www.ourcoop.com/productcatalog/Main/Item.aspx?fl=523&ii=...) basically its 10" straight down then half a 10" circle x 10 ft. :)

It would be about 350 if it was square :) ... the same company has "liners" to http://www.heltonplastics.com/products/bunk_feeder_liners.php but these have "weep" holes in them ... wonder if you can get it without the holes ... only 10" deep but 129 gallons max (at rim) ... they seem really thin though based on reviews.

The top on has a drain plug :)

Interesting article, thank you.  I hadn't heard before of the bluegill/redear cross.  The redear is known locally as a shellcracker.  I believe they reach a larger size than bluegill but I may be wrong about that.  The bluegill hybrids around here result from a green sunfish cross.  The lower cost projected for these fish is probably due to the reduced need to heat water.  Good luck with your plans - hope they are progressing.
