    Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.  


    A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

    Hi!  What part of Portland do you live?  I live in N.E. just off Alberta on 19th.  Just going from hydroponic to aquaponic.  Just got a 60 gal aquarium today and will hook it up to the existing gutter systems.  We are only in town here during the week and leave Friday afternoon to go out to our cabin on the White Salmon River, in Wa. for the week ends. 

    It's amazing how fast this whole reality of aquaponics is happening, isn't it?

    It would be great to make a plan to go distillery tasting! I would also love to come over some time and I am sure Jeremy would be into either plan. Don't worry about the money! I am grateful that I could go along with you. I had a lot of fun. I am also going to go to the InFarmation talk at the Holocene next Tuesday from 5:30-8:30. (http://www.friendsoffamilyfarmers.org/?page_id=601) Maybe you'd like to go to that also. Either way- the distillery is in our future!

    Linda, do you have the email address for your friends whose farm we visited before the meeting? Could you send it to me in a private message? Some of the photos I took turned out well and I'd like to share them with them (could you tell me their names again too?). They were so great and I enjoyed seeing all their happy animals. I'm want to put the pictures up on my blog, but I'd like to get the woman's permission to put photos of her up (I think the photos of the animals are ok for now!).
