I have very little knowledge of Aquaponics as a technology, but I believe it holds the answer to food security and generating sustainable livelihoods in poor, village-based communities, where land and water resources are getting increasingly scarce. Hi Anir,

Though I am eager to start this system, I found some hitches in this project which are discussed below.

As you know, in our country the power is the main problem in this project. We face acute power cuts and the rates are very high. So I think this problem has to be addressed to so that many people can adhere to this system and get benefited. Now I am searching for some alternative to power the system and keep it running. Moreover the solar panel also costs more to setup.

I will be great if you can share some ideas on this.

Sir I am a student in Kolkata, I am interested in organic and sustainable gardening and its only been 2-3 months I came to know about aquaponics and I plan to have a set up of my own in the near future. I was eager to know if someone closer was into aquaponics and here I found you. As I learned from your videos that you have various kinds of aquaponic set ups as well as hydroponic ones, also I noticed you have done considerable improvisations on set ups, as on the growing vegetable types (which are Indian in nature) and on the growing media and many beyond. May be my knowledge is limited but I have seen you as the first one to be so comfortable with coco coir. I believe these improvisations are necessary in the kind of weather we have. Right now you are my personal hero and as you might have guessed, I am looking forward to have some invaluable experience in this sector through you(simply bother you a bit ), if you allow. I will be waiting for your reply to make a step further in the greatest fine art of the future.........

Hi Anir, thanks for the note. I am new to aquaponics and there fore would need lot of guidance. I have just finalised a half an acre farm land on which I am interested to start up my own pilot project and if it works well, I would like to expand it to a commercial level. I would need ur help to set up this pilot project. Can u pls guide me??? Thanks Jasleen.

Sure Anir, I was anyways thinking of visiting ur place. I have very little knowledge on this subject and that thru internet. I need to understand the complete system , as to where will I get the required material,how to build the complete set up, cost price, etc. How and where can I get this info??? Do u have any written material which I can go thru?
