Hi Glenn - Thanks. I really want you to post concerning you Tilapia and catfish operation in the Philippines.
Hi Phil! Thanks for the invite. I'll be tagging along...
Welcome aboard Lance. Participate when you are able.
Thanks for the invite Phil.. I am afraid, at this stage and a month or 5 onwards, I will only be "riding along". Any longish term plans I had for building my Aquaponics system will now be on hold, as the house where I stay, is in the market. However, in the mean time, I am buying up stuff / equipment that I will need, once I start building my system. I am not really in the mood for a small "five fish" system, as I really would like to build and run a quality system from the start. Obviously with growing pains.. And in the mean time, I am learning from you guys.. Glad to be aboard, and hopefully will also start to contribute someday.
Welcome aboard Robert.
Robert I am in the middle of the heating wars now. I have found in the aquariums that 1-100 watt heater with several 50-wat heaters seems to work very well.
Most of my fish tanks are 100 gallon, one is 175(!) and a couple are 75 gallon. I have a couple 40 gallon isolation tanks.
Also I will be posting a ''mini'' commercial sales program that will allow the small commercial farmer and aquafarmer to bring in some income.
Welcome aboard Converse. I would appreciate it if you all pass the word about this new group.
Robert-
I hope so too. I have a couple of DIY tank heater tutorials that I want to try this year. My 55-gallon indoors aquaponic set up with 10 black bullheads will probably be my testing tank. I'm sure they'll appreciate the bit of heat this winter, HA!
