Turned up the water temp so that the breeding colonies will do their thing. Living in Puyallup, we'll bag the fish. Likely 3 or 4 bags. Bring a cooler or tote to hold the bags for the trip home. Have the water in your tank about 80 degrees to receive them. Feed them 8 times a day.
I live in Puyallup
Yes. Thanks for the advance notice. I'll have them. Where do you live?
I'm just now putting up the green houses but I will probably need about 100. My new tank will be about 300 gal. So I'm looking at about a month or so. I just wanted know if you still had them.
Yep, I have them. How many do you need?
Phil do you still have any tilapia left? I got some this spring but I'm building a new system that can take a lot more fish.
Welcome aboard, Alan.
Finally clicked the join button. Been busy lately travelling etc. Looking forward to the postings. Thanks.
Glad that you are here.
Thanks for having me. I've been looking into aquaponics for nearly a year, sat on 2 IBC totes for over 6 months, and finally decided to destroy the yard and get stuff set up. I'm in SE Arizona and currently trying to dig a hole for my sump tank to help with water temperature regulation. I'm looking at growing tilapia since they are allowed and deal well with warmer temps.
