I think the bed is 14-16 inches deep.  We planted it on 7/20 and it has grown probably 4 feet since then and more than tripled the size of it's trunk.  Randy said it had 14 papaya's on the last count.  I will have a lot more time in Nov so I'd like to get together at some point.  Will let you know more details soon.
