Anything special do I need to do with the water to get my tank going?  Tap water ok?  I don't have fish yet.  Looking to get something up and running during spring break.

Thanks for the offer Leisa McPherson.  I may have to make a special trip across town to visit if I can't find someone on the East side or closer.  I'll let you know.

@rex, we ordered our tilapia from Tilapia Depot so we are all set. Where are planning to get your fish?

Hey Alex.... Ran into Nicolette at the Master Gardener section at the Rodeo this past weekend. They've got another system up and running. Also, did you actually eat one of your tilapia?

Thanks for adding me to the group.  Looking for someone that I can hook up with and see there operation and ask questions.  I've been researching for a while. There's questions I want to ask as well as questions I don't know to ask yet.  I've got space and most of the material for 2 4'x8'x12" beds.  I think I'd have a greater understanding once I actually see hands on.  Thanks from Seguin!

I don't know if there is anyone watching this group, but I am looking into picking up tilapia and delivering them to the San Antonio area. I am wanting to put together a coop order. I think I can get a good price and since work takes me to San Antonio area frequently, it will be easy to arrange. If you are interested, let me know.
