This training was arranged last minute, so sorry about the short notice. It’s geared at Extension Agents, but if anyone with interest in the topic would like to attend, you are welcome to do so. Specialists from University of Florida will be facilitating. No charge. No registration necessary

There is a groundswell of activity across the US as grassroots organizations and state agencies develop programs to bring agriculture and fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to the heart of urban centers. Urban Farming is the term used to describe commercially viable farm enterprises within city limits of metropolitan areas.  This is the backdrop of this training theme.

 

 

 

 

It's nice to see the county Extension gearing up for something like this. Aquaponics is perfect for commercial 'Urban Farming"
