I've been crunching numbers for the past couple of days and it seems that aquaponics in our climate is about 5 (4.96) times as productive per square foot of growing space as traditional gardening (not including the fish) within the plant spectrum that is available, with operational costs between equal and 1/2. However, when you work in certain combinations of plants along with increased experience & knowledge, that yield number has the potential of tripling.
My question is do these numbers match your experience? I look forward to your wisdom.
So far I'm getting about equal, maybe a little less, from my AP than my Square Foot. But I can't speak about traditional dirt row gardening. But I do get fish. :)
