I know that we have tried to get some sort of Aquaponic system tour organized with not much success. Phoenix is a big place along with Mesa, Scottsdale and everything else. I have seen quite a few systems that people in this group have created. It always seems I learn something from others so Im asking everyone if your willing to show me your system please contact me, I dont care where you anywhere in Arizona!

Hey you guys are making a plan, thats cool, lets do it!
In response to your email today Dave, I am in.
The 5th sounds great. We'll be happy to be a stop on the tour.
There are two ways to approach this:
If we are opening this to the community, we can do it like Tucson and have it run from 9 to 3 (or whatever) and we all stay home and host the visitors. That's how the Tour De Coops works, too. This is a great approach to introduce A/P to the community, but not for our own edification. It takes a lot of organization and publicity, though.
If we want to see each others' systems, we should have a set time at each site so we host for, say, 45 minutes, then everyone moves to the next site. I've been on chicken coop tours that ran this way, and it worked quite well. The challenge is with the size of the Valley.
I vote A. Community visibility.
I'd like my place to be a stop on the tour too.
And I vote for B. Group hugs. I need more ideas for what to do with my backyard and a tour sounds like a great way to find inspiration.
My vote is B too, share the love!
I would prefer A, being a beginner I would like to see other approaches.

First Rob your not a beginner your an engineer! Your system wouldn't ever be classified as a starter system. Second if you choose the A plan your saying you want to stay home and wait for people to show up. How are you going to see other systems like that?
If we decide to go with plan A, I will volunteer my big Lincoln Navigator to drive you folks around in, it seats eight or ten if we push it with a little gas money help of course.
Well, we'll be a stop either way, but personally I'd prefer B) Group Hugs, this time around so we can get to know our own little community better and learn from each other, and then A) Community Visibility at a later date to build the bigger community. We've yet to have an in-house tour/gathering, and I would LOVE to see other systems!
I'm for plan B - group hugs, I too would like to meet our group first, see their systems, get ideas, and then do plan A. If plan A comes after plan B and the community comes around and asks questions of other people systems in our group I think we'd be able to answer questions better.
I goofed folks. I am for Group Hugs also.
