Mine is funding and interest. I have to prove that the project is viable and sustainable without too many school resources.

I've had a system at my school for a couple of years. Many setbacks as I was learning... Many people would find it a burden to go in every day, including weekends, to feed the fish and check around; i don't mind this. I have a few disasters each year - high winds, pump breakdown... which are stressful and need a lot of time right away to fix. Even with all that, I love my farm - but it's not for everyone.

My biggest challenge is actually using it to teach students. (I teach high school science.) They can be great, or they can be clumsy, careless, disinterested, even destructive. Elementary students who visit are much more into it.

I am beginning to get some lettuce for our cafeteria, and Igive a lot of produce away to teachers and staff, and that creates very good PR.
