Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

We're now to a size where we are attractive to these spam bots that want to place links in here.  In order to block them I have a captcha in place in the application process, and I read every application (and reject about half of them) but I'm thinking we can do more.  Someone has suggested to me that we should put a logic question in the application process, like "what is one and one?".  But we might as well have some fun with this, right?  So I was thinking of "how do fish move through the water?"  But does anyone have any better ideas?

Sorry! That was MY fault!! In the posts about the spam blocking, there was discussion about asking questions of the potential members. Jonathan Paul Grenard said, in his list of questions that Sylvia should ask in screening was: "5)  Do Worms drown under water?  No". That lead me to ask that question and we all went down the rabbit trail. My bad. BUT, I did learn something new and interesting that I'm glad to know now that I didn't know before!!

(does that make it okay?)

And how did we get to discussing worms in the spam blocking blog???????

Well, as a moderator, I'm gonna have to excommunicate you, but other than that everything's fine :) (Kidding, of course)

Wow the worms underwater was a hot topic!  I was just coming up with some questions that Slavena could ask new applicants.   But yes I have put red wigglers in my flood drain beds and they are doing quite well.

Off the subject....   Has anyone been adding Rock Dust to there System?  I just bought some Glacial Rock Dust.  Its high in everything that i had been supplementing.

Hi Friends,

How about a logic question:  What is half of ten times two?

are you asking "one half of ten" times two or one half of "ten times two".

"The cup is always full, but it is only half of what you want"

All rights go to the genius Gary Larson.
