I have an 3 year old system with some mature plants but recently all of my perch died in spite of my efforts to save them. The person I bought the fish from said to wait 2 weeks before adding new fish. Will my plants survive? What can I add to the system to help? Pure ammonia?Any thoughts?:-(

what you could try is DEF(diesel exhaust fluid) it is 5% ammonia if memory serves me. you should be able to get it at any truck stop in a 2 gallon jug.

Do you have idea of what amount it would take? The tank is about 300 gallons. Thanks!

I am sorry I don't know the math for that.

Liquid seaweed or If desperate pee in it.
I found some clear ammonia and used that. Thanks!

pee in the tank
