I have a 500 gallon fish tank and my media beds are full of plants.  All of my goldfish died except 2! (I think from ick).  So I treated my tank and the remaining 2! fish are doing good.  I am going to add tilapia fingerlings (100).  My Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites are down to 0.  I need advice on how to keep my plants healthy until the new fish get settled and start eating and producing.

Hi Susan.  Sorry to hear about your goldfish.  If you add a couple quarts of MaxiCrop you should be ok until you can build up your nitrates again.

Sylvia, last time I added a couple quarts of maxicrop to my system, my nitrate levels went right off the charts. You haven't had this problem? Took me 4 or 5 water changes to even see my nitrates come up on a api test.....

Maxicrop is a great way to keep you plants happy until the fish arrive. Although, I really like this soluble kelp from kelp4less. It has a higher potassium rating and because it's a dry product, you get a lot more concentrate for your money than you do with maxicrop.
