Cleaning out fish prior to harvesting

If the water in your clean out tank is circulating threw grow beds, unique to the clean out tank, does it stil work, will the fish stil get cleaned out?   I'm building my green house and attempting to set things up

The main thing about purging with some types of fish is you want to avoid feeding them for a time before harvesting and you want to make sure the water quality is good.

That said, I've not found purging to be necessary with the tilapia or channel catfish we have grown.  Seems to me if you net them out of the main tank and process them immediately the taste is clean.
