Bird Feed- Millet

There was mention of feeding spent grains to the fish as an alternative to commercial feed.

I have some parrots and I am tempted to try feeding the Koi spent seed/hulls-

Does anyone see anything wrong with this source of food? I am currently feeding them (worms) and pellets and flakes-  commercial fish food-

spent seed hulls sound like a lot of fiber and little nutrition.
