Aquaponics in the Roosevelt School District Phoenix Az

This is the new Roosevelt Elementary School District Food Warehouse and Education Center currently under construction at 10th street and baseline in South Phoenix Arizona and it will have Aquaponics as a component. An incredible LEED Certifiable facility, the purpose of the center is to distribute food through throughout the school district and also to serve as a community school. Along with the aquaponics education in green houses, there will also be hydroponics, native foods, a citrus grove, demonstration home/community garden, native garden, pomegranate trees and indigenous plantings. Scheduled to open in August 2012, I will post more information on this new asset to our community as soon as it becomes available. Congratulations to Norma Munoz, the Board, Robert Nikerson and all others who made this new facility possible.
