Alternate Fish Food

I hear Tilapia eat anything. Can I safely feed mine vegetable leaves to supplement their food? If so what types are best?

OK another food question. I accidently sucked up some of my 1" tilapia in a makeshift filter and some of them died. Some were still kicking so I returned them to the tank. Some of the ones that died were partially eaten. My question is can I leave the other dead fish in the tank for feed since they didn't die from a disease? I've been wondering all along if you could feed the scraps from filleting back to the fish.
