Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

Hey could you take a look at this for me?

Is anyone actively using live webcam support for our aquaponics community?

Being able to see the fish, plants, tests.   Seems a perfect application.

I think it is the next best thing to being there.

Chris,

Thank you for responding. I would love to provide whatever I can to help with implementation of oversight to help utilize your expertise in AP. I truly believe this will be how most will get help from the most qualified.

Maybe we can Skype later today if possible. LMK what time would be best for you.

I took sown time to see what you have going on there. Very impressive.

I will help you with your problems if you will educate me on how to your webcam training works and the equipment involved. I have a web cam and skype with our family all the time but I not have the ability to take it down to the farm to do my own training. Lest help each other. When is a good time for us to talk??

Chris,

I have been doing aquaponics for a full 8 weeks now.  I currently am not having any real problems.  I may have been lucky in getting my system to cycle on the first try.  My fish seem to be healthy aka growing real fast eating like they are piranha and looking at me for food.  My ammonia reads about 0 and my nitrates are around 80.  My plants are also growing well.

I have invested a lot of time and money in providing webcam support in training Drs and biomeds in using ultrasound from both a clinical and service support.  I don't expect anyone to be able to answer ALL of the questions.  I do know that realtime support works. a picture paints a thousand words but realtime video really is close to being there.  With the advent of multiparty Skype it should be easy to find expertise.

We also use FaceTime a very nice application in a common device.

If you have a webcam and would like to take a look at what I have going on here that would be really cool.

Nobody I know of is doing  web cam support yet as far as I know. I have seriously pondered the idea but even with my years of AP experience but I do not feel qualified to answer ALL questions or solve ALL problems. There are sooo many variables(many specific to location) that it would be difficult to accurately diagnose through the internet. When I trouble shoot system problems for my clients in my location I rely heavily on not just sight but touch and smell too. The net can only give sight and sound which is not enough to properly diagnose complicated problems(which is not uncommon). Many times I have looked at a system problem and thought I knew the answer but was wrong because I did not have all the clues until I dug into the system and was able to fully absorb all the clues to the true problem(s).

Your best bet is to post a discussion and add lots of pics/vids and get input from this community. Do not take advise from just one member. If your questions are answered the same by many there may be some merit there.

By the way what is your problem????
