I have tried to discover how to post a question.....  ... searching for user instructions is a bit baffling.  I see "main room"  and "members online" but where are the more instructive indicators?…Continue

Hello Jerry,

I have just started to design my aquaponics system, this is my first time posting, on this site and my first time setting up an aquaponics system, so I thought i would start with a system that uses very little electricity, as not all areas in Indonesia have good access to electricity.

Hopefully when its sorted my system will run of solar power and use an air lift system to move the water up from the low sump tank to the fish tank, because I'm sure they need water. from there it will all be gravity fed to all other areas. in the diagram the low tank is the sump tank, the large tank the fish tank and the upper most tank is the bio filter, which should be positioned lower than the top of the fish tank to be gravity fed, stupid drawing mistake, which I'm sure you spotted.

At the moment I am setting up a test "tower", before spending out on equipment.

not sure if Bubble wrap is a good medium for the roots system but its cheap and easy to source.

when it's done if you want i'll post some pics.

Good luck with your system and happy growing.
