Absolutely, Jennifer,  I will try to post updates and pictures. We are all ready having fun with this project and watching videos together, we especially like the videos by Nate Storey.  He is learning all the terminology and how the fish and plants work together. Its been a great bonding time. Hopefully we will be able to get to the store this weekend to get the rest of the stuff we need. I think we are  to do a small grow bed right on top of the tank.

Dana, as a fifth grade teacher who plans to set up a system some day, I'm very interested in how both you and your son make out with the projects. I can't offer advice, but I too have done a lot of research and have dreamed of the day I can get my own system set up. Unfortunately, it seems that several other projects need to take priority. Good luck and I hope you'll post updates.

Not sure if tjis group is still active since its been a while since anyone has posted, but I am in Mechanicsburg.  I haven't set up my system yet. I have done a lot of studying though. I am in the process of gathering items to build my indoor aquaponics.  My son is going to build a "counter top" system for his 5th grade science fair project. It has been great learning about this kind of farming.

I am a mom of 8 and am trying to find affordable ways to feed my family healthy food. Any advice is appreciated.

We work with a non-profit in Exton, PA to help reintegrate veterans through AP growing and horticultural therapy.

Hi all! I'm just starting out and learning as much as I can. I'm outside Pottstown, PA. I'm currently collecting all the pieces to build a system of my own. I may end up buying a retailed system and then adding on with totes. It's slowly coming together and thought it time to research local supplies as well as like minded folks. Happy Easter! :)

I have a 2 year old 1000-1500 gallon F&D aquaponics system in Delaware county, pa. Ive manned the entire system alone for the entire time successfully. Im using gold fish, and havent invested in a season of food fish yet.

my system is outdoors and not inside a greenhouse! I have a good grasp on all hydroponics methods of production, and am designing a vertical planter method similar to Nate stories from bright agrotech.

if anyone wants to network, meet up, or collaborate.

and/or

* anyone looking for laborers/employees for their AP system/greenhouse.

Im trying to merge my electrical/engineering experience with an AP business, to try and design a cheap self automated AP that's fail safe, and almost maintenance free for people with little mechanical skills and  tight schedules.

Im currently working on a website thats not yet published.

I have extensive knowledge on sustainable housing (hence the earthship email address) which I can utilize my knowledge of sustainable heating and cooling to help make a greenhouse as sustainable as possible. as well as knowledge of permaculture and natural food forests.

to contact me please email me @ earthship.empire@gmail.com and we can exchange phone numbers and possible make advancements.

Hello PA Aquapons,

I am hosting a Family Preparedness Fair in New Kingstown PA between Carlisle and Mechanicsburg on 21 April and need an Aquapon to present to the visitors to the fair (est 200-500). If you have a setup and can present please contact me. If there is a vendor in PA that I might contact to do this that would help as well. Any help would be appreciated.
