Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

I have been wanting to start an aquaponics system for over a year now, but we are very limited financially. Ideally, I would like to put an IBC tote system in my hubby's greenhouse ;)
But for now, I have to start with a small indoor system. I bought a used 20 gallon tank with a stand for $25. I will be using goldfish in this tank. I have been having difficulty finding a properly sized Food Grade container for the growbed that is not going to cost an arm and a leg.

I had in mind the many smaller containers available at big box stores.  Food grade?  I don't know but it's generally considered here not to be a problem since you won't be using hot liquids.

IBC totes in this area are selling for $150 and they are way too big for the indoor system I have in mind.
