We will be in Austin that day for a Ju Jitsu tournament.

I would come in.  Is anyone going to the aquaponics conference on the 30th?

Absolutely. I've got something planned for every Sunday until April 21st. Randy could probably get together on one of the Sundays that I'm not available. I will mention it to him. Since you live so close you guys could just stop by sometime.

Leisa,

since we live so close, maybe one Sunday you are free we can rally a trip to both of our homes! That would be interesting to see the two different ways we are working our aquaponic systems, don't you think?

Hey group! Welcome back Alex :)

I would love to get together with everyone. Our system is doing AMAZING! I wish I had pics to post, but not as of yet. We are really blown away at the amazon in our greenhouse these days. I would love for y'all to not only come check it out, but maybe give us some pointers. For example, we have so much growth, but are unsure of when to harvest. Our kale is ginormous, and I'm worried its bad by now!

Also, where do you go for iron supplements that won't hurt the fish? That is all we really need... not even having a pest problem (oh, except for a surprising ant colony in at least one grow bed that we found).

Let me know if anyone would be interested in coming out. We are free most Sundays, if that could work.

Glad to have you back Alex! Your wife should have called us, I would have loaned her Randy to help out. Just posted a few new pics. I'm sure you know we've created a monster (Randy) at my house. Can't wait to have you come see.

Finally back In town.system is needing much TLC.Had a power outage last week and my wife couldn't figure out how to turn pump back on.luckily my air pump is on a separate circuit and kept my fish alive,my plants on the other hand... suffered quite a bit.@ Leisa, yes we've grilled a few  very tasty.@ all the new members welcome and my apologies for the late response unfortunately I've been in a remote location without internet access, but hopefully I can make up for it with the following pictures.I look forward to meeting up with you guys soon, let me know if you want to host, what dates and times your available.

if you are just starting up the water cycle, I would get some "Start Zyme" from a pet store.  Then put pure ammonia in.  Building up the bacteria can take some time.

@ David, we have a dechlorinator attachment that we bought from Home Depot (shower dept I think) and we adapted it to fit on our outside hose. Since you don't have fish, you could just fill up your tank and let it cycle. The chlorine will dissipate.
