You should find a later picture. Yes, there are sumps under the growbed. They pump up to the tank which overflows into the growbed.

Sorry, I meant to say when the water leaves the fish tank and goes into the grow bed, how does it ultimately get back into the fish tank? I just didn't see a sump here. For example my idea was to build similar to this, the tank floods the grow bed, the bed empties to a sump at ground level and is pumped from the sump back into the tank. I assume you were doing similar, but it looked like maybe you did something clever instead so thought I would ask :)

No tote. The inside is fiberglass. There's drainage out the bottom, which is why I had to put it on blocks instead of flat on the ground. This made everything a bit higher than I would have preferred.

Is their a tote inside the plywood box? how were you draining the bed? My plans to build a very similar system next year but have a sump between the tank and bed like you have here. Maybe your way would be better.
