MaxGFX V-Tower

Step by step photos of the assembly of my aquaponic/hydroponic vertical planter tower. Yes, this design is for a 42" tower, not a 3 foot or 5 foot tower. At 5 feet, nutrient levels drop significantly at the bottom of the tower. This slightly shorter length overcomes that problem and still provides a more than useful amount of vertical growing space.

That all depends on what the seed packet says the plant spacing needs to be.

How far apart do you space each plant in the media?

Just as a side note...Contrary to a wall comment here from Nate Storey, the video at http://youtu.be/fxmm3iMJMyM clearly shows that I'm not the first person to show people how to build this style of planter tower. All I've done is improve upon a design and shared my results.

Yeah, the slideshow feature here is more of an artsy-fartsy thing and doesn't show captions or comments. Just click on the first photo and use the Prev/Next links on each one to navigate.

What are you using for internal grow media and where did you get it?
