Bell siphons are simply a length of PVC for the outlet, and a V8 Fusion jug with the bottom cut out with 3 flanges plus additional holes punched about 1/2" up from the bottom. The pea gravel holds it in place. If I want the levels of the water to be higher, I can remove and replace the PVC through the jug opening, or pull the gravel back, etc.

Finally realizing the resemblence of a garden this year! During the first year, due to a productive pair of Blue Tilapia, I needed to convert some of the beds into holding tanks for some of the fingerlings (too small to put with the bigger fish). A friend wanted to see how I had my swirl filter and bell siphons set up, so this video and the one on the sipons alone are the result of that.

Here's a video detailing how I put the bell siphons together for our greenhouse. There are six of them with various sized grow beds and flow rates and they have been running with no problems (except for when I need to clean out the roots!).
